A recently formed nonprofit organization seeks business leaders, activists and advocates as it expands its efforts to ensure economic and social well-being for Black people in South Florida and beyond.
The South Florida Black Prosperity Alliance, incorporated in July 2020 and launched in February, is a tri-county initiative co-founded by over a dozen organizations including local NAACP branches, the Urban League of Broward County and the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce. “We embrace the spirit of collaboration with individuals, companies and groups in the spirit of being part of the larger community and wanting success for the community,” said Barron Channer, a leading member of the SFBPA.
