The Black Magic Reimagined conference is back in person after three years online, and $100,000 is up for grabs in its pitch competition.
Hosted by Dallas-based media production company Boss Women Media, the Black Magic Reimagined summit invites female business owners, founders, freelancers, content creators, and corporate employees to connect in Dallas on September 30 and October 1. For its fifth consecutive year, the conference aims to educate, empower, and equip Black women in business with connection, resources, and funds.
The event may be weeks away, but the deadline to apply to the pitch competition is coming up soon on July 31. Capital One is awarding $50,000, $30,000, and $20,000 in grants to three women-owned small businesses. Previous grant winner Bridal Babes, an inclusive brand for wedding and bridesmaid gowns based in Beltsville, Maryland, used the prize money to expand the business before going on Shark Tank in 2022. On the show, co-founders Charles and Ashley Young won a $250,000 deal for 20 percent equity with Emma Grede, co-founder and CEO of denim company Good American.
