The National Black Writer’s Conference is back in Brooklyn and Wednesday marked the first day of the four-day conference.

Hundreds filled the auditorium in Crown Heights where attendees learned about and discussed issues from systemic racism to the impact of social media.

Speakers Farah Jasmine Griffin and Michael Eric Dyson took the stage to discuss the many issues that Black Americans are moving forward from, including social injustice, domestic violence and more.
