Black Music Month will include a new series of concerts in Charlotte.
The Sol Kitchen, a live music production company, is launching the “Summer of Sol,” which includes a June slate of acts in partnership with TJ Entertainment and Blumenthal Arts.
The series features performances by Grammy Award winner Susan Carol, jazz vocalist Samara Joy, R&B vocalists Lalah Hathaway and Eric Roberson. Hathaway and Roberson are familiar performers on the Charlotte stage, while Carol and Joy are appearing for the first time.
