For the first time in recent history, Black students around the country are choosing to attend historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in record numbers. Now, as the conversation around HBCUs continues to shift, enrollment numbers suggest many of the nation’s Black colleges are giving some of the country’s most selective institutions of higher learning a run for their money.
