A Charlotte-based non-profit organization participated in a service project with Samaritan’s Feet Warehouse to help Ukrainian refugees in Poland on March 26th.

The Young Black Leadership Alliance (YBLA)  focuses on the leadership and development of young black students. Founded in 2006 by John Martin, this organization aims to build young black leaders who value education and advocacy.

Their recent project is bigger than ever. From 5,000 miles away YBLA is making a difference by dedicating its time to serving Ukrainian refugees.

YBLA teamed up with a fellow non-profit organization, Samaritan’s Feet, which supplies children around the world with new shoes.

Over 30 ambassadors spent their weekend in Samaritan’s Feet Warehouse sorting, organizing, and distributing shoes for Ukrainian refugees who have been displaced and affected by the conflicts in their country.

Members of YBLA are dedicated to making a difference and eager to encourage their community to get involved.
