A celebration of contemporary Black art will take place throughout Houston this weekend.
Black Art Houston is an immersive experience featuring exhibitions, open studios and cultural events at local museums and other venues. It’s a chance to connect with artists and explore Houston’s “rich tapestry of artistic expression.”
The citywide initiative coincides with the opening of Museum of Fine Arts Houston’s exhibition “Multiplicity: Blackness in Contemporary American Collage.”
The exhibition includes works by Kehinde Wiley, one of the world’s most celebrated contemporary artists.
