The Killeen Black Art and Film Festival — a vibrant celebration of Black culture through films, trailers, live art, music videos, workshops and panel discussions — is returning later this month, according to a news release from the Innovation Black Chamber of Commerce.

Presented by Golden Ideas Unlimited, the event will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 27 at the Killeen Civic & Conference Center.

This year’s festival features the stage play, “True to My Religion,” which tells the story of Joseph Williams, a father who made mistakes in his youth and is now striving to reconnect with his family and keep them on a righteous path.
