One question changed everything for Hadiyah Mujhid: What if she could design a system that helps more people like her get funded, or better yet, become the funders? A graduate of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Mujhid found her answer in HBCUvc, a venture capitalist training program aimed at HBCU students. Created in 2017, the non-profit organization has a bold mission to build “an ecosystem of entrepreneurs, investors, and innovation leaders” that promotes generational wealth for diverse communities.
